EAST BRUNSWICK - Office workers in East Brunswick say they were stunned when they saw a young boy walking around a parking lot as well as along Route 18.

The boy was seen walking around asking for his father after being left alone in the family car on Thursday afternoon in the parking lot outside Hooters and the Days Hotel.

Police located and questioned the father, who reportedly said that he thought it was OK to leave his son alone because his son was asleep.

The boy was unharmed, while his father, who police have not identified at this time, now faces a charge of childhood endangerment.
