LACEY TOWNSHIP - Authorities led drug-sniffing dogs through the corridors of an Ocean County high school this morning.
This morning's search of Lacey High School is part of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato's efforts to curb drug addiction.
There have been 104 drug overdose deaths in the county this year. Most involve people between the ages of 20 and 28.
The prosecutor would not say if any drugs were found in the school. But both the prosecutor and school superintendent believe the process is necessary to prevent future tragedy.
