VERNON TOWNSHIP - Drivers are being warned of slick roads as temperatures are expected to dip below freezing overnight.

Wet roads from today's rain are turning to ice, creating a potentially dangerous situation for people on the streets.

In Vernon Township, frozen trees line Breakneck Road where heavy ice is weighing down the branches.

Councilman Brian Lynch spoke with News 12 New Jersey and said he's cautiously optimistic that the town will make it through the night without any significant power outages.
