MONTVALE - As the price of gas continues to rise, some drivers are coming from neighboring states to get their gas in New Jersey. News 12 New Jersey visited a Lukoil station near the New York State border, at exit 172 off the Garden State Parkway. Drivers there were lining up as if the gas was being given away for free.

Many said they had traveled from New York, Connecticut, and even Massachusetts to fill up on lower-priced gas.

AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey is $3.69.
