TRENTON - Undocumented students could soon start attending college at lower tuition rates.

The state Assembly passed the Dream Act Thursday. The measure allows undocumented students who grew up in New Jersey to be eligible for in-state college tuition.

The passage comes after Democrats this morning agreed to a change that Gov. Chris Christie requested.

"The commitment between my colleagues here to have full quality is coming," says Senate President Stephen Sweeney. "And we will finish the job. But at least young people going into January aren't going to have to pay double."

The Senate still needs to vote on the bill.
