EDISON - A Monmouth County doctor was sentenced to 57 months in prison today for her role in a large-scale oxycodone scheme.

Jacqueline LoPresti, who practiced in Little Silver, pleaded guilty last October to conspiracy charges. She was among 22 people charged in 2011 for trafficking millions of dollars worth of oxycodone tablets.

The U.S. Attorney's Office say doctors charged in the scheme wrote more than 6,000 prescriptions between 2009 and 2010.
