Dover police are looking for a man who allegedly stole his date's dog.

DOVER - Police are looking for a man named "Joel," whom they say stole a woman's pet while on a date.

Dover police responded to a home on Ann Street after the woman called to say her dog and her flat-screen television had been stolen. The woman apparently met the suspect through a dating website.  

While they were in her home, she left the room for a moment.  When she returned, "Joel" was gone, along with the woman's television and her pet Yorkie, named Violet.

"Joel" is described as Hispanic male who stands at about 5 feet, 9 inches tall.  He apparently drives a gold-colored Mercedes with black and beige interior.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 973-366-0302.
