DOT: NJ fliers have largest range of domestic-flight prices

NEWARK - The U.S. Department of Transportation says Newark Liberty International Airport has the highest average ticket price in the country for domestic flights, $469.

Tickets from Atlantic City International Airport average around $153, the lowest in the country. JFK's average ticket price for domestic flights are around $359, while Philadelphia International Airport's prices are around $303.

News 12 New Jersey spoke with people to see if they'd be willing to travel to an airport if it meant saving some cash. Some said they'd be willing to drive a significant distance before they flew, but others said it wouldn't be worth it since they felt they'd end up paying the same amount in gas money.
