HACKENSACK - A Bergen County woman has been reunited with her Pomeranian after the dog was stolen.

Andrea Whitelocke says her dog Diamond was stolen Saturday morning from in front of her Hackensack home.

"My mom said to me 'Diamond is missing...she's not in her cage,'" says Whitelocke.

The family thought the canine ran away at first, but security camera footage showed a stranger walk onto their driveway and steal the dog.

The video of the "dognapping" was posted on social media and Whitelocke believes the person responsible for the theft got scared. Diamond was found at an animal shelter over the weekend.

Police say they have some leads on who the alleged dognapper is. Whitelocke says she plans on filing charges.
