MANSFIELD - There's a dispute raging in Burlington County over some 2,400 cars parked inside the Vanco Truck lot along Florence Road in Mansfield. Some are calling the temporary storage site for Sandy-damaged cars an eyesore.

Ultimately, the zoning board will have the final say on what will be done with the space.

Vanco is filing for an 18-month variance saying it's holding the Sandy-damaged cars for insurance adjusters to review.

Zoning officials disagree and say Vanco is also using the lot to sell the cars online. Township officials are also concerned that the cars could be leaking oil or anti-freeze.

Vanco has asked for a waiver on any environmental impact in its application.
