EDISON - The transfer of power from embattled President Hosni Mubarak is currently at issue in Egypt.

Talks between the U.S. and leaders in Egypt are being watched closely by Egyptian-Americans living in New Jersey, as well as local peace activists.

News 12 New Jersey spoke to both Egyptian-Americans and peace activists.

Morad Abou-Sabe, who left Egypt nearly 45 years ago, says he hopes the turmoil leads to a freer Egypt.

Friday's demonstrations in Cairo were more peaceful than in recent days, which Rev. Bob Moore, of Coalition for Peace in Princeton, finds encouraging.
