NEWARK - The Devils held a charity game Wednesday for Mikey Nichols, the Monroe High School hockey player still at a rehab center after breaking his neck during a game.

Nichols' father says Mike has virtually no feeling below his chest. Still, his spirits are high thanks largely to support like this.

"When my wife and I get down, we can look at the Facebook page, cards and letters, and the financial support from strangers and community," said Mikey's father, Steven Nichols.
