LIBERTY STATE PARK - Ellis Island was the first stop for so many immigrants to our country. Their second stop was often Liberty State Park as they fanned out across the country.

Much of the park, like Ellis and Liberty islands, was severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

While several restaurants and grassy areas are open, much of the harbor walkways and the train station remain closed.
