Emotional goodbyes were exchanged today as nearly 170 Army National Guard soldiers are leaving New Jersey, bound for the Persian Gulf.

A deployment ceremony was held in Jersey City to send off the 2-113th Infantry Battalion. The soldiers will provide security for a U.S. Navy facility in Bahrain for the next year.

Family, friends and children gathered to say farewell to their heroes....
