WEST MILFORD - State environmental officials are monitoring a composting center in West Milford where there have been three fires in as many weeks.

The latest fire broke out yesterday morning at Organic Waste Solutions and took about 12 hours to wind down.

Township officials say the fires appear to have been caused by piling composting material too high. State officials have not yet commented on the cause of the fire.
