NEWARK - (AP) - The extortion and bribery trial of anorthern New Jersey mayor and an associate is entering its thirdday of jury deliberations.
Ridgefield Mayor Anthony Suarez and tax preparer VincentTabbachino face bribery and extortion counts.They're accused of accepting a bribe from a federal informantposing as a corrupt developer.
On Monday, jurors asked for the transcripts of testimony by bothdefendants, informant Solomon Dwek and a lawyer who testified forSuarez. They also wanted to know the legal definition ofentrapment.
Suarez and Tabbachino were among 46 people arrested in lastyear's massive federal corruption sting. Since then, nearly halfthose arrested have pleaded guilty or been convicted.
