NEWARK - A fatal accident that occurred in front of a Newark gas station yesterday morning was caught on surveillance tape. In the video released by the gas station's owner, Jose Goncalves and his wife, Vania, can be seen setting up their coffee truck in front of the gas station when a BMW hits him and grazes his wife. He was later pronounced dead at University Hospital. A spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office says the case is being treated as a vehicular homicide for now. The spokesperson wouldn't say if charges would be filed against the driver and stated that it could take weeks for a decision to be made.
