Day in the life of a CSI for Bloomfield College students

ORANGE - The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Crime Scene Unit set up a hands-on lesson for Bloomfield College students outside their lab in Orange today.

Human biology professor, Dr. Vandee Jefferson, arranged the visit. At the staged crime scene, students found all of the makings of a horrific drive-by shooting. There was a body, blood, bullet casings and a gun, as well as other forensic evidence.

Two sections of a human biology class and one forensic science class also took part in the mock investigation. The professor hopes to make it an annual lesson.
