EDISON - New information has been revealed regarding the death of a prominent Morris County political figure.

The daughter of former Morris County clerk Joan Bramhall says her parents were experiencing enormous amounts of stress prior to their deaths. She says her father believed his wife of 54 years was suffering from dementia.

Police say Bramhall's husband John killed her before committing suicide at their Denville home Thursday.

Bramhall was a member of Gov. Christie's transition team and served as a county freeholder before becoming clerk.
