LEONIA - An 18-year-old man has been accused of sexually abusing a 3-year-old boy at a Leonia firehouse.
Darius Levine was arrested Friday after investigators learned that he engaged in “inappropriate sexual activity with a 3-year-old male acquaintance,” Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said in a news release Sunday. Police say they learned about the allegations after the boy told his father.
Levine’s parents say he suffers from physical and mental disabilities. He recently applied to become a member of the borough fire department. His application was under consideration.
