WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - A man has been arrested in the stabbing death of another man in front of a home in Washington Township Tuesday night.

The Warren County Prosecutor's Office says Daniel J. Lawrence, 26, is charged in the murder.

The victim was found stabbed multiple times near Route 57 and Flower Avenue around 6:17 p.m. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police recovered a three-inch folding knife that was allegedly used in the attack. Investigators believe the suspect and the victim were familiar with each other.

The suspect was previously arrested for allegedly punching out two van windows and having a drunken exchange with police in April.

Lawrence is being held at the Warren County jail on $1 million bail, police say. He also faces weapons charges.
