SPRING LAKE - Many around New Jersey are continuing to take in the damage and destruction left behind from Hurricane Sandy.

Much of the boardwalk in Spring Lake was completely destroyed by hurricane-force winds and waves that crashed onto the Monmouth County shore. That boardwalk was recently repaired after damage from Tropical Storm Irene last year.

Other areas in the county are also assessing the damage left behind. Sea Bright Mayor Dina Long has announced an emergency town meeting today at 2 p.m. at the Rumson Fair Haven High School on Ridge Road in Rumson.
