BELMAR - Health officials in Monmouth County say a Belmar bar and restaurant will close its doors for the weekend after they have possibly traced the source of a mumps outbreak there.

Out of 27 mumps cases reported so far, 20 of the people with symptoms either visited or worked at D'Jais Bar & Grill in the past few weeks.

One of the people affected is a preschool-age child.

Symptoms of mumps include swelling of the glands, fever, headache, muscle ache, tiredness and loss of appetite.

Treatment includes staying home for five days, getting plenty of bed rest and fluids, disinfecting common surfaces regularly and avoiding contact with others.
