Cyclists make way through NJ in honor of 9/11 victims

MIDDLETOWN - The "Tour de Force" made its way through Monmouth County this afternoon and News 12 New Jersey caught up with cyclists as they came off the ferry boat in Belford from Manhattan.

Around 250 cyclists made their way through the Garden State in honor of those fallen on Sept. 11, including 37 residents from Middletown.

Middletown police are among the many cyclists in the 9th annual trek for law enforcement and firefighters that begins at Ground Zero and ends at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

The trip is approximately 260 miles. The riders are expected to arrive at the Liberty Bell Thursday night.

The cyclists are set to arrive at the Pentagon on Sunday, marking the 10th anniversary of the attacks.
