Cyber Monday shopping begins

EDISON - Last year's Cyber Monday was the biggest online shopping day ever, with record sales of $1.03 billion. A CareerBuilder survey finds just as many people are likely to be shopping on this Cyber Monday as well.

The survey finds 50 percent of American workers plan to do holiday shopping online at work this year. Thirty-four percent plan to do at least an hour of online shopping at work.

However, keep in mind another finding of the survey: 22 percent of employers have fired someone for using the Internet for non-work activities. Seven percent of human resource managers have fired someone specifically for holiday shopping at work.

The experts at West New York-based ECoupons.com say you may find some better deals as we get closer to Christmas, but if you see what you want for a good price get it.
