(AP) - Police in Connecticut have canceled an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy who has been found safely in Oakland.The Hartford Courant and WTNH-TV

OAKLAND - (AP) - Police in Connecticut have canceled an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy who has been found safely in Oakland.

The Hartford Courant and WTNH-TV report that Christopher Joacand his father, Roberto Mones, were found inNew Jersey. Mones was taken into police custody.

No other details were immediately available.

State Police issued the Amber Alert early Thursday morning.Authorities say Joac was taken from his home late Wednesday nightfollowing a dispute between his parents.

Police say the 29-year-old Mones assaulted his wife, took thechild, and fled.
