WEEHAWKEN - People made their way to Boulevard East in Weehawken, to join the hundreds who already staked their claim for prime viewing spots to watch the Macy's fireworks show from the Hudson River.

Boulevard East offered an optimal view of downtown Manhattan and the barges in the Hudson River, which launched over 40,000 fireworks during tonight's annual show.

The fireworks show began around 9 p.m. and lasted for about 25 minutes.
