TRENTON - Some residents in Trenton fear this weekend's rash of violence is just a sign of things to come.

Boots still sit on the ground in Trenton, representing some of the 100 police officers laid off last Friday, right before a rash of violence broke out in the state capitol.

Officials say the department will try to keep the same number of cops patrolling Trenton streets by moving officers from desks to patrol cars. However, that will mean fewer investigative officers.
