FRANKLIN LAKES - United Water says crews are working to repair a water main break in Franklin Lakes.

Officials say the main broke this morning along Pulis Avenue near Susquehanna Avenue.

The utility says the 12-inch main was ruptured by a contractor who was doing some work in the area. It says about 50 homes on Tice Road, Susquehanna Road and Linden Way were affected.

United Water says there is no need for a boil water advisory, and it hopes to have repairs completed by this evening.
