Newark Pompton Turnpike in Wayne has been reopened after a water main break shut down part of the roadway.

Crews say a 10 inch main burst early this morning. About a dozen homes were affected while crews worked to repair the pipe.

Homeowners say water was restored at around 11 a.m. The town says no boil water advisories were issued.
