Crews have repaired a broken water main that flooded several streets in Jersey City.

JERSEY CITY - Crews have repaired a broken water main that flooded several streets in Jersey City.

The 12-inch main broke Friday in the area of Culver and West Side avenues. 

Some roadways in the area remained closed as repairs continued into Saturday morning, but no major travel problems were reported.

Officials say crews had the flooding under control, and a shuttered stretch of West Side Avenue will likely be reopened late Sunday afternoon once paving is completed.

The cause of the break remains under investigation.

Officials said that only three businesses were still being affected by the break on Saturday. Some residents in the area said they also did not have access to water.
