Crews battle fire at home on Cooper Road in Scotch Plains

News 12 New Jersey spoke to the homeowner, who says everyone made it out safely. (5/31/14)

SCOTCH PLAINS - Crews battled a three-alarm fire at a home in Scotch Plains early Saturday morning.

Officials say the flames broke at 1710 Cooper Road at around 5 a.m. The fire began in a detatched garage before spreading to the home.

Scotch Plains fire crews got the fire under control within a couple of hours.
