POMPTON LAKES - A couple has been reunited with their family in Pompton Lakes after fleeing unrest in Libya.

Franz and Erica Fearnley say they had been living and working in Libya, and believed that they could ride out the protests until this past weekend when they were forced to make a rushed escape.

The Fearnleys say their emotions lie with the people they left behind in a country that they love. They say when they fled Tuesday morning, there were about 1,200 foreign nationals still waiting in the airport for a way out.
