Long Branch police have identified the body of a man who was found in the trunk of a burning car on Wednesday.Investigators identified the man

LONG BRANCH - Long Branch police have identified the body of a man who was found in the trunk of a burning car on Wednesday.

Investigators identified the man as 42-year-old Stephen Moore, a native of Huntington Beach, Calif. They say he most recently lived in Manchester Township in Ocean County.

Police say Long Branch firefighters responded to a car fire at the corner of Seaview and Long Branch avenues when they made the gruesome discovery.

Prosecutors say they are treating the case as a homicide but have yet to make any arrests.
