ROSELLE PARK - A traffic stop in Roselle Park led police to an apartment, where they say they found bomb-making materials.

Authorities have charged 27-year-old Travis Dulk with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of hollow-point ammunition and possession of cocaine and narcotics.

Police say Dulk was the passenger of a 2007 Scion that was stopped for a traffic violation Tuesday in the area of West Westfield Avenue at the Garden State Parkway. Officials say Dulk was in possession of several bags of cocaine and several narcotic pills. A further search revealed that he had a handgun tucked into his waistband that was loaded with hollow-point ammunition.

Dulk consented to an initial search of his apartment on Filbert Street after he was arrested during the traffic stop.

Detective Sgt. Theodore Dima says police spotted what appeared to be canisters of black powder, several pieces of cut PVC and metal piping, several disassembled firearms, high-capacity magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in the apartment.

Dima says police are trying to determine if Dulk is connected to any other criminal activity.
