SEASIDE HEIGHTS - National Hot Dog Day was celebrated in style at a hot dog eating contest in Seaside Heights Tuesday.

Contestants chowed down on trays piled high with frankfurters.

Gary Rosenland "relished" the moment, as the winner of the tournament. He downed 11 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

While he's no Joey Chestnut, the popcorn salesman says he knows this victory would make his mother proud.

"How the heck Joey Chestnut can do 69 in 10 minutes on 4th of July for Nathan's, I'll never know," Rosenland says.
