RUMSON - Complaints about the upcoming closure of the Oceanic Bridge in Monmouth County are already pouring in.
Commuters tell News 12 New Jersey that they are bracing for the impact. Those from the area that commute to Manhattan rely on the Oceanic Bridge to get to the Highlands in order to hop on the ferry to Manhattan.
The 70-year-old bridge is slated to be replaced altogether in about 10 years. The repairs that are currently scheduled for its steel supports are only meant to be a temporary fix. Construction will close the span from October until May.
