FARMINGDALE - Triple Crown hopeful California Chrome may have a look-alike here in New Jersey.

Proprietors at Sunset Meadow Farm in Farmingdale think a colt born last month at the Monmouth County farm bears a striking resemblance to the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner.

They say the colt, named "Stabler," not only looks like California Chrome, but also has his outgoing disposition.

"He's just so friendly and he wants to be a part of life," says Jeanne Vuyosevich. "You get a lot of race horses that don't like people and don't like the excitement. California Chrome is the same way, nothing bothers him."

The colt is owned by longtime New Jersey breeder Dave Lengel.

The co-owner of the farm says she has already reached out to folks in the film industry. They think if California Chrome wins the Belmont Stakes Saturday that their colt should play him on the big screen.
