TRENTON - The recent cold snap created icy road conditions and caused accidents across the state Sunday morning.

Freezing rain was blamed for an accident involving a NJ Transit bus and a salt truck, when both vehicles slid down Warren Street in Trenton. Two people were aboard the bus at the time of the accident. There were no injuries.

Residents say sidewalks in the downtown Trenton area were just as slippery.

Drivers are asked to take it slow and use caution on slick roadways.

News 12 meteorologists expect milder temperatures to melt the snow and ice on Monday.
