Clifton man charged in murder of ex-girlfriend

RIDGEFIELD PARK - A man who the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office believes strangled his ex-girlfriend before slashing his own wrists has been charged with her murder.

David Goodell was spotted at Ridgefield Park High School yesterday afternoon, disoriented and bleeding. Police say that when they arrived, Goodell jumped in his car and took off. Authorities say they chased him into a dead-end street in Ridgefield where they say he crashed into a police cruiser.

Cops say they found Viviana Tulli's body in the front passenger seat of the car.

Goodell was treated at Hackensack University Medical Center. Bail has been set at $2 million.
