PASSIAC - A city of Passaic official was fired Friday, just hours after he was arrested and accused of driving under the influence and cocaine possession.

Police say Passaic Business Administrator Anthony Iacono was taken into custody after a traffic stop in Hoboken Thursday night. Officials say the car he was driving was provided by the city and has been confiscated.

Passaic Mayor Alex Blanco says he dismissed Iacono because of the city's "zero-tolerance" policy for misconduct by administration officials.

Iacono has been released on a court summons.
