NEWARK - The circus is tons of fun for people of all ages, but there?s a lot of science behind all those tricks performed in the rings.

To demonstrate, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey are hosting a special exhibit at the Newark Museum this weekend called ?Circus Science.? Performers will be on hand to show spectators the scientific principals behind well-loved circus traditions, such as plate-spinning and juggling.

Organizers say there will be six science shows on Saturday and Sunday, plus magic tricks, trapeze artists, spin art and more.

The Circus Science event runs from 10:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m., and is free with the purchase of museum admission.
