HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - A pair of thieves who allegedly stole hundreds of valuable bronze vases from gravesites in Colonial and Greenwood cemeteries have been caught.
Police have charged Christopher Gutschow and Michael Stasinski with the thefts. The vases, which are valued at around $300 each, were cut into small pieces to make them unrecognizable when they were sold for scrap, and the buyers did not know they were stolen.
Cemetery visitors were appalled at the complete lack of respect. "I think that they should lock the cemetery down at night and just have certain hours when you can come and go," says Denise Parrish of Trenton.

It was an anonymous tip that led police to Gutschow and Stasinski, who are also suspects in cemetery thefts at All Saints Cemetery in Princeton and two cemeteries in Robbinsville.
