Christie: We are ready for Sandy

POMPTON LAKES - Gov. Chris Christie says New Jersey is ready for Hurricane Sandy, but the state must prepare for the worst.

During a news conference this afternoon, Christie reiterated his mandatory evacuation of the barrier islands south of Sandy Hook to Cape May.

NJ Transit buses and trains and PATH service will shut down by midnight.

Christie concluded by urging residents not to panic.
