Christie visits Ann Street School in Newark

NEWARK - Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) visited students at the Ann Street School in Newark this morning.

The governor was there to give an update on the search for a new superintendent for Newark schools. Christie said interviews for the position will begin this weekend. The governor promised whoever gets the job will know he expects major reform.

Christie said the state will remain involved throughout the process, even after the new superintendent is hired.

He also took questions from students on everything from the state budget to education.
