LAWRENCEVILLE - Gov. Chris Christie says that his wife was not rolling her eyes at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump when he said Hillary Clinton would not win so many votes if she were a man.

Mary Pat Christie could be seen looking one direction then another while Trump was speaking. Voters circulated video on social media and many called it an eye roll.

Gov. Christie on Thursday called the description of Mary Pat Christie media "silliness."

"Being the recipient of more eye rolls from my wife than any human being on Earth...that was not an eye roll,” Christie said at a media event in Lawrenceville.

Trump said Tuesday night that Clinton wouldn't get 5 percent of the vote if she were a man.

Trump swept all five states during Tuesday’s primaries.

The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
