New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's chief legal counsel is stepping down from his administration. Gov. Christie has announced Chris Porrino will return to private practice.

EDISON - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's chief legal counsel is stepping down from his administration.

Gov. Christie has announced Chris Porrino will return to private practice.

Porrino has served for a year and a half as the governor's top attorney and has been with the administration since 2012.

Gov. Christie says Thomas Scrivo will succeed Porrino.
