Christie kicks off 'Endless Summer of Tax Relief' tour

MANASQUAN - Before making fundraising stops for the Romney campaign over the next few days, Gov. Chris Christie held the first of several planned town hall meetings in Manasquan today to push his tax relief plan.

Democrats have said they want to wait to see if the state's economic recovery holds up before cutting taxes. Christie called their delay a political tactic.

"They know that the only way they can get this job away from me is to root for failure," said Christie. "They say, 'we don't have the money for a tax cut,' yet, they had the money to spend every nickel that I said we were going to take in this year ? but they don't have a nickel to give you a tax cut."

More town hall meetings are planned over the coming weeks.
