Chilling police tapes from Colorado movie theater shooting released

EDISON - Newly released Police audio recordings from the Colorado movie theater shooting reveal the unfolding crisis as authorities responded to the massacre.

In the chaotic moments just after the shooting, police are heard requesting assistance for multiple shooting victims, including children.

Ten victims of the shooting died at the scene, and another two died in the hospital. Fifty-nine others were injured in the shooting rampage.

The suspect, James Holmes, was arrested at the scene.

The 24-year-old had recently dropped out of a neuroscience Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado Medical School.
