OCEAN TOWNSHIP - The Jersey Shore-based charity Kick Cancer Overboard held its annual fundraiser Sunday night in Ocean Township.

The organization gives away free cruise vacations to families of cancer patients.

The event featured music from the RockIt Live organization, a charity that features young, aspiring musicians. This is third year the two organizations came together to help out families struggling with cancer.

Kick Cancer Overboard has given away more than 130 cruises to deserving families over its five-year history.

Families and caregivers can submit an application for a cruise. Recipients are chosen on basis of need by board members of Kick Cancer Overboard.
